"Becky's agricultural enthusiasm and whit enriched our lives. Hearing one young entrepreneurial voice, who represents many young voices, inspired me to continue to develop a strong Missouri Agriculture for our state's youth, our future agriculturists."

Organizing on the Issues
Whether you are from cities or rural areas, Becky Plattner will represent you. There are six key areas which are of particular interest to Becky Plattner: Missouri's Financial Fitness, State Tourism, Energy, Veterans, Senior Citizens, and Missouri's Volunteer Community.

Missouri State Capital Building Missouri Financial Fitness
With over 15 years experience in the financial industry, Becky Plattner has a passion for financial fitness. Fiscal accountability is an important aspect of Missouri's government. Becky's years of financial management experience bolster the effectiveness of her work on committees and commissions throughout the state.
  Missouri Tourism Missouri Tourism
Tourism is one of the two top industries in Missouri. It brings millions of dollars into our economy each year, and provides employment for over 6% of our residents. One of the strongest trends in tourism is the emerging Agri-tourism market. Missouri is uniquely positioned to be able to take advantage of this market niche. With its diversified landscape and crops, as well as its natural beauty, Missouri can combine efforts for the promotion of these two industries to realize a stronger overall economy.

Corn Energy Issues
There is a lot of debate about how and whether particular alternate energy sources are the answer to our energy problems. But one thing is clear, we do need alternatives. As we look forward into the future, we know that petroleum is a finite resource. We know that it is within our power to produce alternatives. We know that we still have a long way to go to produce truly viable alternatives to the massive amounts of energy required to make the engines of American industry turn.
Veterans Veterans
We are required to have a strong military to secure our place as a world power and to ensure the security of our nation, its economy, its borders, and its people. Our veterans selflessly give of themselves to assure us and future generations the life that we have come to expect as citizens of the United State of America. Our veterans deserve all the respect and support we can give to thank them for their sacrifices on our behalf, regardless of our opinions of a given military campaign.

Seniors Advocate for Senior Citizens
It is a high honor to represent the interests of our senior Missourians. As a lifelong member of Missouri's agricultural community, the contributions of seniors to the richness of life in Missouri is abundantly clear. The issues of insuring accessible healthcare, safety in the public arena and care centers, programs to add to the quality of life in later years and to reap benefits of a lifetime of experience, while protecting earned assets are among my primary goals.
Volunteers Missouri Volunteers
While it is important to support the businesses and industries of Missouri, untold hours are given to the state through the efforts of its volunteers in service. It is important that we understand how critical time given in volunteer service is to the smooth working of many programs.
